| @indiablooms | Feb 17, 2019, at 04:29 pm

Chennai, Feb 17 (UNI): Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) President M K Stalin visited Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayansmay at his agitation site and expressed his support to the chief minister’s agitation.

Later, talking to news persons, Stalin demanded that Lt Governor Kiran Bedi should be recalled.

He said that Kiran Bedi may have functioned well as a police officer.

"But now ,working for the BJP as the Lt Governor of Puducherry is against democracy. It is a shame that Prime Minister Narendra Modi failed to attend this issue. Kiran Bedi failed to cooperate with the elected government from day one in office and she be recalled," he added.

He also said that BJP will never succeed in coming to power through the 'back door', with the help of Governors/Lt Governors.

Meanwhile, the Lt Governor Kiran Bedi reached Puducherry at 1530 hours and entered Raj Nivas, cutting short her Delhi visit. Bedi who left Puducherry on Feb 14 announced then that she will be back on February 20.

It may be noted that she had invited Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues to Raj Nivas for talks in this evening.
