Chennai: Jet Airways to resume full domestic schedule from tomorrow

Mumbai, Dec 7 (IBNS) Jet Airways, India’s premiere international airline on Monday announced the resumption of its full domestic schedule starting on Tuesday.

Jet Airways will operate 78 flights to and from Chennai, connecting Tamil Nadu’s capital city with the rest of India.

The management of Jet Airways has been assessing the situation round the clock, working closely with its team on the ground, and has fully mobilised its resources to bring back normalcy to the travelling public in and around Chennai.

Jet Airways teams from other stations have joined the Chennai team in support of their tireless efforts in ensuring normal operations for the airline’s guests.

Jet Airways flights to Chennai that operated yesterday and earlier today, have also carried basic resources like drinking water and refreshments for its Chennai airport staff. 

It has made available cargo space for relief material and basic supplies and medicines, as also free travel for doctors and volunteers carrying out humanitarian work.

Commenting on the development, Cramer Ball – CEO, Jet Airways said, “The closely coordinated and unstinted efforts of our teams has been exemplary. Being able to move quickly, mobilizing resources have been key in ensuring re-commencement of all domestic flights, at the earliest possible time. This clearly demonstrates our commitment as an airline to do all possible in helping Chennai and regions getting back on its feet as quickly as possible."

"I thank the staff on their commendable efforts in helping assume normal flight operations,” Ball said.

Cramer Ball further said, “I am also happy to announce the resumption of our international flights to Abu Dhabi and Singapore on 8 and 9 December, respectively.”
