Centre committed to comprehensive development of newly built Kolhapur airport: Jyotiraditya Scindia

Kolhapur/UNI: Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia assured that the union government was committed to the comprehensive development of Kolhapur airport, which had built in late Rajaram Maharaj Chhatrapati of Karveer and the new modern domestic building of the airport will be ready by March next.

Scindia, while inaugurating Kolhapur-Mumbai air service online under the union government's 'Uddan' scheme on behalf of star-Air of industrialist Sanjay Ghodavat, said Kolhapur airport would impel to agriculture, industry, tourism and business sector in the areas.

He said that his ministry would try for international flights from this airport in future.

Star-Air's chairman Ghodavat said that with connectivity to 19 main cities in the country, he would try to start international flights from this airport.
