Boy serves as Hyderabad's Police Commissioner for a day

Hyderabad, Oct 15 (IBNS): Living his dream for a day, a 10-year-old boy, who is suffering from blood cancer, became the became Hyderabad's police commissioner on Wednesday, media reports said.

Sadiq, who is currently undergoing treatment, assumed the post only for a day.

"Before assuming office, Sadiq was given a ceremonial welcome by the police when he arrived at the Commissioner’s Office. As the child walked inside the building, the staff lined up to catch a glimpse of their ‘new commissioner’.Later, Sadiq walked into the chambers of Police Commissioner, M. Mahendar Reddy, and took the chair," The Hindu reported.

“I will catch the rowdies,” the boy was quoted as saying by the newspaper.

It was NGO 'Make A Wish Foundation' and Hyderabad police who made the dream of the Karimnagar district resident come true, reports said.
