Bokaro: Youth murders girl, injures her mother

Bokaro, Jul 1 (UNI) A youth killed a girl in Hardiyamo village under Gomia Police Station in the district and also seriously injured her mother.

Police today said that the deceased has been identified as Ankita Kumari (18). The father of the deceased has accused his neighbour Ravindra of killing his daughter. The father said that after visiting a local fair the girl alongwith her mother returned home last night.


Suddenly the accused entered the girl's room and attacked her with his knife. Ankita died due to the wounds in her neck and stomach. Her mother who was also attacked sustained injuries.The accused fled from the spot.


Police has sent the body for post-mortem while the mother has been hospitalised. Police suspected love angle behind the entire incident. Further probe was on.
