BJP: Nityanand Rai, Manoj Tiwari appointed as new unit presidents

New Delhi, Nov 30 (IBNS): The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday appointed Nityanand Rai and Manoj Tiwari as their Bihar and Delhi unit president respectively, media reports said.

"Manoj Tiwari will replace Satish Upadhyay as BJP chief with immediate effect," the party's statement read.

Rai represents Ujiarpur constituency of Bihar in the Lok Sabha, while Tiwari, a popular actor and singer, represents northeast Delhi.

The appointments were made by BJP President Amit Shah.
