Guwahati, Dec 20 (IBNS): An ally party legislator of the BJP-led Assam government accused that, the state government is failed to meet public aspirations.

Utpal Dutta, Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) MLA representing Lakhimpur assembly constitution on Wednesday said that, the state government is facing huge fund crunch while BJP in power in both the centre and state.

“It is very interesting that, the state is facing fund crisis while the BJP is in power both at the Centre and state,” Utpal Dutta said.

The AGP MLA also said that, maximum departments of the state government have not completed development schemes in the state due to fund crisis.

“The BJP-led state government failed to fulfill public aspirations in past 18 months. AGP is one of the partner of the government, but we are not getting a partner's respect,” Dutta said.

Utpal Dutta criticized Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal over his failure to reshuffle his cabinet.

On the other hand, BJP’s Assam unit president Ranjit Kumar Das denied the fund crisis issue and said that, the centre has released adequate development fund to the state regularly.

“But, some departments of the state government have not submitted their utilization certificates,” Das said.
