Kolkata, Mar 10 (UNI) Ruling Trinamool Congress Bidhannagar Municipality Mayor Sabyasachi Dutta today claimed that BJP leader Mukul Roy was uninvited guest to his home on Friday and said he was a loyal TMC man and will remain so.

Dutta, who is also an MLA, has been under top leadership's scrutiny since former TMC leader and now BJP's think-tank Mukul Roy spent around an hour at his home on Friday evening and ate " Loochi and Alurdom" cooked by the TMC leader's wife Indrani.

TMC senior leadership of North 24 Parganas, including district party president and minister Jyoti Priya Mallcik, his cabinet colleague Sujit Bose and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's most trusted leader Firhad Hakim along with Councilors of Bidhannagar Municipality today held an emergency meeting and settled the matter amicably in presence of Dutta.

Hakim said in the meeting, which was held under the direction of Mamata Banerjee, here, Dutta clarified that Mukul Roy was an uninvited guest to his home on Friday evening.

Dutta told reporters that Roy called him at around 1930 hours on Friday, requesting to come to see him.

"We spent around one hour. He(Mukul Roy) had loochi and alurdam and watched India-Australia ODI match on TV. We had no political discussions,"the TMC leader said.

Dutta said Mr Roy is like his elder brother and one of his family friends. He said he was with the TMC and will be with TMC.

Earlier, Firhad Hakim said the BJP was begging door to door seeking party candidates for Lok Sabha poll.

"BJP is an all India party. It has all the money but no leaders. So they are going around with a begging bowl, asking everyone, 'will you be our candidate?'. The current visit seems to be a personal one. Let's see," Urban Development minister Firhad Hakim said.
