BJP government can't build anything, it can only destroy: Rahul Gandhi slams Narendra Modi-led govt

New Delhi, Aug 3 (IBNS/UNI): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday criticised the Centre over the issue of 'economic slowdown' and said the PM Narendra Modi-led government can 'only destroy'.

Gandhi tweeted: "The BJP Government can’t build anything. It can only destroy what was built over decades with passion and hard work."

Gandhi's criticism comes days after the government data showed the growth of eight core industries - coal, crude oil, natural gas, refinery products, fertiliser, steel, cement and electricity - dropped to 0.2 per cent in June, this year.

He has also shared GIF image that carries various media reports indicating the slow down of the economy including, Larsen and Toubro (L&T) chairman AM Naik's comment on country's economy, Indian Railways' plan to hive off three lakh employees, automobile section witnesses worst July sales in two decades and BSNL, MTNL fail to pay July salary to 1.98 lakh employees.

Gandhi had criticised the Modi government, on Thursday, and said the 'economy has been derailed'.

"Mr Prime Minister, the economy has derailed and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. If your incompetent Finance Minister is telling you there is light, trust me it's the train of recession coming at full throttle," Mr Gandhi had said.
