New Delhi, Jul 17 (UNI) Uttarakhand legislator Pranav Singh Champion was on Wednesday expelled for six years from the primary membership of BJP on charge of "indiscipline", a party announcement said here.

A statement from party general secretary Arun Singh said that the expulsion of the leader will come into effect immediately.

Pranav Singh Champion courted controversy when a video showing him dancing with guns to a popular Bollywood number in front of supporters went viral.

BJP sources said the party's state in charge, Shyam Jaju, had recently recommended to party chief Amit Shah that actions should be taken against the MLA.
