BJP activist killed in Kerala, party blames ruling CPI-M

Kannur, Jan 19 (IBNS): The Kerala unit of BJP has alleged that CPI-M is behind the murder of BJP activist Mullapram Ezhuthan Santhosh, according to media reports on Thursday.

Th 52-year old activist was found murdered at home on Wedensday.

Tweeted Kummanam Rajasekharan, BJP Kerala state president, "Shocked at the brutal murder of Santhosh,our karyakarta in Dharmadam,Kannur, the home turf of Kerala CM."

BJP's national president, Amit Shah, tweeted, "The news of BJP karyakarta Santhosh Kumar being murdered in Kannur, Kerala is distressing. My deepest condolences to the family."

He also tweeted, "This is 3rd instance of political violence in Kannur, CM Pinarayi Vijayan's constituency in the last 15 days. Will he get to the murderers?"

According to media reports, a country-made bomb was hurled at an RSS office in the district on Thursday but no one was injured.

The ruling CPI-M has denied BJP's allegations, media reported.

The BJP has called for a dawn to dusk 'bandh' on Thursday and vehicles were said to be off roads in Kannur, according to media reports.
