Bihar: Nitish Kumar expands cabinet, 31 ministers take oath

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister on Tuesday expanded his cabinet and 31 ministers were administered oath at a simple function organised in Raj Bhawan.

Kumar, who formed Grand Alliance government after deserting NDA, had taken oath as Chief Minister on August 10. Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav had also taken oath along with Chief Minister.

Chief Minister expanded his cabinet and a total of 31 ministers were administered oath by Governor Phagu Chauhan at a simple function organised in Raj Bhawan. Ministers who were administered oath included 16 from RJD, 11 from JD(U), two from Congress, one from HAM and one Independent.

Those who took oath from JD(U) quota in cabinet are:- Bijendra Yadav, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Ashok Chaudhary, Shrawan Kumar, Lasi Singh, Sanjay Jha, Madan Sahni, Sheela Kumari, Sunil Kumar, Jama Khan and Jayant Raj.

Similarly, those who were administered oath from RJD quota are:-Tej Pratap Yadav, Alok Mehta, Surendra Prasad Yadav, Ramanand Yadav, Lalit Kumar Yadav, Kumar Sarvajeet, Chandrasekhar,

Sameer Mahasheth, Anita Devi, Sudhakar Singh, Jeetendra Kumar Rai, Surendra Kumar, Kartik Kumar, Shamim Ahmad, Shahnawaz Alam, Mohammad, Israel Mansuri

Two from Congress:- Afaque Alam and Murari Prasad Gautam, one from HAM Santosh Kumar Suman and one Independent Sumit Singh were also administered oath by the Governor.
