Bihar: Hungry robbers flee with valuables, warn to keep food ready next time

Patna, Oct 25 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): In a bizarre incident, armed robbers ate snacks and prepared tea before making away with the looted goods in Bihar, police said today.

The incident took place at Parvezabad village in Sonepur block of Saran district.

As per reports, robbers entered the house of Shailesh Kumar, a medicine trader, by using a ladder around midnight and overpowered the family members at the point of gun.

Reports said soon after overpowering the family members, the robbers asked for food.

On being told the food was not available in the kitchen, the robbers took out Kurkure (a kind of snacks) and cashew nuts from the box to eat, and also prepared tea in the kitchen as the hostages watched all these helplessly.

Eventually, the robbers fled the scene with Rs 200,000 in cash and gold jewelries with a stern warning to keep food ready when they visit next time. The number of robbers is stated to be seven.
