Bihar: Elderly couple electrocuted

Ara, Jul 2 (UNI) A 60-year old person and his wife were killed when they came in contact with high voltage live electric wire at Birampur village under Koelwar police station area in Bhojpur district last night.

Police said here today that one Ramji Thakur (60) came in contact with the electric wire while taking bath. Sources said that Ramji`s wife Kalawati Devi (58) was also electrocuted when she tried to save her husband. Both husband and wife died on the spot.

The bodies had been sent for autopsy.
