Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday reminded people of "Jungle Raj" in Bihar during RJD regime and asked them not to vote for INDIA bloc, in upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

While addressing a joint public meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi here in favour of BJP candidate Vivek Thakur from Nawada Lok Sabha seat in parliamentary elections, he said that "Jungle Raj" had prevailed in Bihar during the RJD regime.

People were afraid of coming out of their houses after sunset as there was no safety and security for them, he recalled.

"Law and order had collapsed during RJD regime which improved remarkably when the NDA government was voted to power in 2005," he said and asked people not to vote for INDIA bloc, of which RJD is major partner, in ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

The Chief Minister further said that people are now seen travelling even at night without any trace of fear.

Health, education and other sectors were in poor conditions and people were worst sufferers of chaos that prevailed during RJD regime, he claimed.

Kumar also claimed that on an average 39 patients used to visit Primary Health Centres (PHCs) for treatments during RJD regime.

However, due to sustained efforts made by NDA government, the number of patients seeking treatments in PHCs has crossed 1,000 per month, as there are better medical facilities and doctors available in hospitals, he informed.

The Chief Minister further informed that more than four lakh government jobs have been given to youths by his government in Bihar since 2020 but RJD, which was his coalition partner for a brief period, was trying to take its credit, he said in a jibe.

Claiming that RJD had done nothing and only his government had given jobs, he stated that by the year 2025, more than 10 lakh government jobs would be given.

Besides government jobs, a large number of employment opportunities would also be created in Bihar for youths to earn their livelihood, he promised.

Kumar appreciated PM Modi for having given assistance to Bihar in carrying out various welfare and

development works.

He exhorted the public to vote for an NDA candidate so that Modi could become PM for a third term with massive support of NDA, bagging more than 400 seats.
