Bihar CM meets Narendra Modi to discuss flood situation

New Delhi, Aug 23 (IBNS): Nitish Kumar, chief minister of Bihar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday in New Delhi to discuss about the worsening flood situation in his state, according to media reports.

On Monday night, the Union government sent 10 National Disaster Response Force teams to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to help in the rescue operations.

Nitish Kumar requested the Prime Minister to send a team of experts to assess the situation.

The chief minister also said that the silting of the Ganga river is one of the major causes that led to the floods.
