Bengal polls: Left candidate in Murshidabad's Jangipur AC Pradip Nandi succumbs to Covid-19

Kolkata/IBNS: Sanjukta Morcha supported RSP candidate in Jangipur Assembly seat in West Bengal's Murshidabad district, Pradip Nandi, died of Covid-19 on Friday evening, reports said.

According to reports, Pradip Nandi had contracted coronavirus infection days ago and he was undergoing treatment in a Berhampur hospital where he breathed his last at around 6:30 pm. on Friday.

Earlier on Thursday morning, Sanjukta Morcha supported Congress candidate in Samserganj AC in the same district, Md. Rezaul Haque, succumbed to Covid-19 in a Kolkata hospital.

Election in both the assembly seats is scheduled to be conducted on Apr 26.
