Barkha Shukla Singh quits from her post of Delhi Congress women's cell chief

New Delhi, Apr 20 (IBNS): Barkha Shukla Singh, chief of Delhi Women's Congress cell resigned from her post on Thursday, according to media reports.

Political pundits believe this can have a significant impact with the Delhi municipality poll round the corner.

The former Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief levelled her charges against Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and senior party member Ajay Maken.

She allegedly accused both the leaders of using the concept of women's empowerment and security 'to gather votes' without really caring for the same.

"Will always remain a @INCIndia worker. Saddening to see party in such a state. Party does not belong to one person it belongs to its workers," she tweeted.
