Banned group Sikh for Justice claims responsibility for explosion at Punjab Police's intel HQ in Mohali

Mohali/IBNS: Banned group Sikh for Justice (SFJ) has claimed responsibility for the rocket-propelled grenade attack at the Punjab Police's intelligence headquarters in Mohali on Monday, media reports said.

In a suspected audio message to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, SFJ's Gurpatwant Singh has Pannu issued a warning.

The Punjab Police are trying to verify the authenticity of the message.

An investigation is already underway into the matter.

On Wednesday, a minor explosion was reported at the Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters in sector 77, SAS Nagar at around 7.45 PM.

No damage or casualties were been reported.

Police called the blast an "RPG-like attack" and a "minor one".

The blast was not categorised as a terrorist attack then.
