Bangladesh delegation meets Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Nov 4 (IBNS): A Bangladesh delegation led by Minister of Disaster Management & Relief Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here on Friday.

Appreciating Dhaka’s concern on the Pathankot and Uri terror attacks, Rajnath Singh said the two countries have no difference of opinion on where terrorism originates from and how to eradicate it from the South Asian region.

Thanking Bangladesh for its crackdown on Indian insurgent groups operating from its soil, Rajnath Singh said both countries also have understanding on addressing various issues of concern including human trafficking and fake currency.

Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya sought India’s help in weather forecasting and real-time sharing of satellite imagery and remote sensing data so that the risks of disasters such as floods and cyclone can be minimized.

He also sought training for Bangladesh personnel in earthquake Rescue Operations.

Rajnath Singh assured all help and sharing of all weather inputs besides extending training facilities to Bangladesh disaster response forces at the Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management and other premier institutions.
