Australia: PM wishes, Sydney Opera House lit up on Diwali

Sydney: Australia's iconic Sydney Opera House was lit up on Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, which was observed on Monday.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese wished Hindus in the country on Diwali.

He tweeted: "Happy Deepavali Australia."

The Indian Consulate in Sydney shared an image of the Sydney Opera House and referred to Virat Kohli's sparking unbeaten 82 runs innings against Pakistan and tweeted: "After a Viraat Sunday, Sydney all geared up to witness Grand Diwali! Celebrations begin with lighting of iconic @SydOperaHouse  in Crimson Red. Thank you Hon. @Dom_Perrottet  & @markcourelive for this great gesture!"
