ATS arrests man accused of plotting to kill Hindu leaders after Godhra riots

Ahmedabad/Hyderabad, Oct 21 (IBNS) The Anti-Terrorism squad of Gujarat police has arrested Ghulam Jafar Shaikh, who is accused of plotting a conspiracy to kill several Hindu leaders after the Godhra riots, reports said.

The arrest was made at Hakimpet in Telengana with the help of the local police.

Fifty-year-old Shaikh, a tailor fro Daria pur is accused of conspiring to eliminate several right wing VHP leaders to avenge attacks on Muslims during the Godhra riots.

The 50-year-old  accused has been absconding for 13 years.
