Assembly polls: Nitish-Lalu alliance leading in Bihar
Patna, Nov 8 (IBNS): In a sharp contrast to the early trends of counting on Sunday for the Bihar Assembly polls, the Grand Alliance of JDU-RJD is leading ahead of the BJP, according to latest trends.
As the counting of the votes progressed , the Nitish Kumar-Lalu Prasad Yadav alliance is leading in as many as 132 seats of the 243-member house.
The NDA, led by Narendra Modi's BJP, has bagged 99 seats so far.
Others are leading in 10 seats.
Reacting to the current trends, BJP leader Prakash Javadekar said he is not ready to accept the defeat yet and asked news channels to wait for an hour or so to make a final prediction.
"It' was a very close election right from the beginning. Every family was divided on choice while voting. There were other issues like all Oppositions unified against us. It's a very close election and let us wait for one or two hours more and see what is happening," Javadekar told NDTV.
