Assembly polls: 61 pct voting in Jharkhand, J&K records 58 pct
Elections are held in 17 of the 81 seats in Jharkhand on Tuesday. The constituencies are spread over eight districts.
According to reports, 74.77 percent voting took place in Silli. The lowest was recorded in Ranchi with 44.44% people exercising their voting rights.
The fourth phase of elections will take place on Dec 14. The counting of votes will be held on Dec 23.
Braving chilly weather of Jammu and Kashmir, the third phase of polling for 16 assembly seats in the north Indian state recorded 58 percent voter turnout on Tuesday, up from 52.13 percent in 2009.
