Assam : Three injured in blast

Guwahati, Feb 1 (IBNS) : At least three persons were injured in an powerful explosion in Assam's Hailakandi district on Sunday evening, police said.

According to reports, the incident took place at Shivbari road in Hailakandi town in front of Bank of India office.

"Suspected militants triggered the explosion in which three persons injured, " a top police official said.

The injured persons were identified as Saidul Rahman, Mehbub Hasan and Krishna Chand and they had rushed to nearest hospital.

Top police and army officials have rushed to the area and started investigation into the issue.
