Assam govt allows four-day leave to its employees to meet their parents, in-laws

Guwahati/IBNS: The Assam government has granted four-day casual leave to its employees in the month of January to meet their living parents or in-laws.

The state government employees will be able to avail two-day casual leave along with two days holidays in the first week of January.

In a notification issued by the General Administration Department of Assam government stated, “The Assam government is pleased to allow state government employees to avail casual leave of 6th and 7th January, 2022 suffixing the two holidays, the 8th and 9th January, 2022, being 2nd Saturday and Sunday, so as to enable them to spend the aforesaid days with their living parents and parents in-law.”

“Minister’s may also take advantage of the break to be with their parents/in-laws during the said period,” said in the notification issued on Dec 7.

Earlier, during the cabinet meeting held in Bongaigaon on Nov 24, the Assam cabinet had decided that all government employees in the state will get a four-day leave to meet their parents in the month of January next year, so that they can spend time with their parents.
