Assam CM announces Rs. 1 crore assistance to cyclone Ockhi affected people

Guwahati, Dec 4 (IBNS) : Expressing sympathy and sense of camaraderie with the people affected by cyclone Ockhi, which is currently threatening and impacting many Indian states, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today announced an assistance of Rs 1 crore as contribution towards Prime Minister’s Relief Fund (PMRF).

“We are with the cyclone ravaged people of different states of the country at this critical juncture. We are pained to see their sufferings and will extend all possible help to them to tide over the crisis,” the Assam Chief Minister stated in a message.          

Sonowal decided to contribute the amount to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund so that the same can be systematically channelized providing succour to the affected people.
