Assam: Change of Command at Digaru Air Force station

Guwahati, July 4 (IBNS): Group Captain SG Murali assumed the command of Air Force Station Digaru in Assam’s Kamrup (Metro) district from Group Captain CK Rasyara on Thursday. 

A ceremonial Parade was held on the occasion.

Group Captain SG Murali was commission into the Indian Air Force on 16 December 1989, has rich experiences in Logistic functions. The officer has undergone higher Defence Orientation Course from Army War College and MBA (Finance) from National Institute of Financial Management.

Prior to assuming the Command, he has held various important appointments at senior level.

He was commended by the Chief of Air Staff in 2002 for distinguished service.

His wife, Ambika Sreekala also joined him and took over as President Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA).

The officer, on assuming Command addressed Air Warriors to be ever vigilant towards security and emphasized on the professional competence to meet the challenging task and encourage them towards physical fitness and sports activities.
