Assam budget session to begin tomorrow

Guwahati, Mar 1 (IBNS): The budget session in Assam's state assembly will start from Monday, officials said on Sunday.

The Assam state assembly Secretary Gauranga Prasad Das said that the month long budget session of the financial year 2015-2016 will commence from Mar 2.

"Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, who also the state's finance minister, will present the 2015-2016 FY state budget on March 10, " the state assembly Secretary said.

Ahead of the start of the session, security has been beefed up in Guwahati city.
