Assam: 30 people injured in road mishap

Guwahati, Oct 23 (IBNS) : At least 30 people of a marriage party were injured in a road mishap in Assam’s capital city Guwahati on Sunday morning.

Guwahati city police said the driver of a bus carrying a marriage party from Chaygaon in Kamrup district had lost over the vehicle and hit a roadside wall.

The incident took place at Kahilipara area mid of the city.

At least 30 people who travelled in the vehicle were injured and they had rushed to Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).

“The injured persons are now out of danger,” Dr Ramen Talukdar, Superintendent of GMCH said.
