Arvind Kejriwal urges Centre to cancel CBSE Class12 exams
New Delhi/UNI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday requested the Centre to cancel the upcoming CBSE Class 12 board exams as the students have not been vaccinated against COVID-19.
"Children and parents are worried about the 12th examination. They want that 12th examination should not be held without vaccinating the students. I appeal to the Central Government to cancel the 12th examination. They should be assessed based on past performance," the Chief Minister tweeted.
The Prime Minister will chair a meeting on Tuesday evening regarding the various options available for class 12 Board Examinations. The meeting is likely to decide on the final decision - whether or not the exams are being cancelled. And if not, then how would the exams be conducted.
The board and central government are expected to share their final decision on CBSE 12th Board 2021 in front of the Supreme Court by June 3.
The Aam Aadmi Party and few more states have been opposing the postponement of board exams due to the ongoing second wave in the country.
