Arrack shop ransacked in Puducherry

Puducherry, Apr 13 (UNI) An arrack shop at Sanjeevi Nagar, in Puducherry area on Puducherry –Tamil Nadu border was ransacked by a mob on Friday night.

According to sources, Ganapathy from Idayanchavady hailing from Tamil Nadu came to the shop to consume arrack and had a quarrel with Moorthy of Sanjeevi Nagar. Both of them clashed later.

Ganapathy informed his friends about the incident and 20 of them who were already in an inebriated condition came to the arrack shop and ransacked it.
They also beat up the people consuming arrack in the shop.
