Army Chief visits Manipur

Guwahati, Dec 24 (IBNS) : Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag on Saturday took stock the present situation in Manipur.

The Army Chief arrived at Imphal and reviewd the security situation with top security officials in the wake of a blockade imposed by the United Naga Council (UNC).

General Singh will also visit Assam to review the security situation.

Earlier Union MOS Home Kiren Rijiju had took stock the situation of trouble torn Manipur on Dec 23.

Meanwhile, a curfew from Lamlong Bridge to Pangei area has been relaxed from 6 am to 5 pm on Saturday.
