Kolkata/Siliguri, Feb 12 (IBNS): Two days after a wild tusker entered West Bengal's Siliguri city and went on a rampage for nearly eight hours, another wild elephant entered Ambari area, few kilometers away from Siliguri town, on Friday early morning and went berserk.
It reportedly entered the area from Baikunthapur forest range and killed a man- Niren Roy- at Ambari's Dhoragoj village. Many houses in more ten villages were damaged by it.

When forest personnel rushed to the spot, they were chased by the jumbo. The elephant also overturned a vehicle of forest department. At least four forest personnel, who were inside the vehicle, were injured in the incident.

Till the last update came in, the elephant was spotted near Shimulbari village.

Earlier on Wednesday, another wild elephant entered Siliguri city from a nearby forest and went on a eight-hour rampage and damaged hundreds of houses and several vehicles.
