Amar Singh says he will not allow Samajwadi Party to split

Lucknow, Dec 31 (IBNS): Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh said on Saturday that Mulayam Singh has done the right thing and the conspiracy against the party has failed, according to media reports.

He said,  "Samajwadi Party will not split till I am alive."

The media reported that he also said, "I am not in Samajwadi Party to break it apart but to unite it."

On Saturday, when Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, accompanied by senior leader Azam Khan, went to meet his father and party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, NDTV quoting sources reported that the Akhilesh camp had wanted Amar Singh to be ousted from the party.
