AK-47 and SLR rifle recovered from former Independent MLA

New Delhi, Apr 10 (IBNS) Delhi Police Special Cell on Friday recovered an AK-47 and one SLR rifle from former independent MLA Rambir Shokeen's property.

The information about the arms revealed during the interrogation of Delhi's most wanted gangster Neeraj Bawana who was arrested recently.


Shokeen is Bawana's uncle.

As per reports, the recovered arms were looted from Uttarakhand Police at the time of escape of sharp-shooter Amit Kumar alias Bhura from Bhagpat in December 2014.

Shokeen joined the Congress  ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections in 2015.
