Air India flight's tyre bursts while landing in Srinagar, passengers safe

Srinagar, June 15 (IBNS): An Air India flight's tyre burst while it was landing in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar city on Monday.

The passengers of the flight are safe.

Confirming the incident, Air India tweeted: "AI821 operating on DEL-IXJ-SXR with 149 pax on board had a tyre burst on landing at SXR. All pax are safe & have been taken to the trmnl bldg. Baggage has been delivered to all pax."

"#ReliefAircraft is being kept ready to be sent to SXR to operate AI822 on sector SXR-IXJ-DEL," it said.

All flights, which are departing from Srinagar, have been delayed, reports said.

According to reports, flights which are arriving in the city have been diverted to Chandigarh.
