Kolkata/IBNS: Trinamool Congress (TMC) national general secretary and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee's sister-in-law Maneka Gambhir was quizzed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the coal scam case Monday.

Maneka, who was travelling abroad, was stopped at the Kolkata airport last night and an ED summon was issued at 12:30 am.

After Maneka reached the ED office, she was informed of the typographical error in the time and was freshly summoned at 12:30 pm.

Maneka once appeared before the ED at 12:30 pm Monday.

Stating TMC as a party has no connection with Maneka, the ruling party of West Bengal has claimed she was "harassed" for being a relative of Abhishek, who is taking on the country's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Earlier Sept 2, Abhishek, the nephew of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, was quizzed for hours by the ED in Kolkata in connection with the same case.

Speaking at an event, Mamata Banerjee Monday said, "Agency rule is going on in the country. There is no development..."
