AASU office ransack : A local court sent 55 persons to 10-day judicial custody
The court sent them to the judicial custody and asked the concerned authorities to produce them before the court on June 15 next.
On the other hand, the Dhemaji police submitted a 42-page charge sheet before the court and accused 55 persons which include Subodh Biswas, Subhas Biswas, NIBBUSS’s Assam unit president Sahadev Das, general secretary Benimadhab Ray.
Police also accused 14 persons in arms act in the charge sheet in connection with the AASU office attack on Mar 6.
Earlier, police had arrested a senior IPS officer N Rajamarthandan, who had provided the investigation information of the AASU office attack to the general secretary of NIBBUSS through RTI, whereas the CID organization was exempted from the RTI Act following the Assam government order issued in 2006.
