New Delhi, Sept 20 (IBNS): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Tughlakabad, Sahi Ram has been booked for allegedly assaulting a man in Okhla on Monday, reports said.

The victim has been identified as Yogesh Bidhuri, The Hindu reported.

"The victim made a PCR call after which the police team reached the spot," the daily quoted a police officer as saying.

The victim said that he was beaten up by the lawmaker and his supporters after he raised an issue pertaining to construction outside his house.

He was rushed to AIIMS, where he received treatment and was discharged shortly.

An FIR under sections 324, 505 and 341 of the IPC has been registered at the Okhla Industrial Area police station, the daily reported.

However, Ram has denied all charges and said that he wasn't present when the scuffle broke out.
