AAP MLA booked for molestation of woman
New Delhi, Jul 8 (IBNS) : In yet another embarrassment for the ruling Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi, its legislator Prakash Jarwal has been booked for allegedly molesting and assaulting a woman, reports said.
The development came days after AAP MLA Days after AAP MLA Dinesh Mohaniya was arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a woman who had approached him with water problems.
According to reports, the incident involving Jarwal, an MLA from Deoli, took place in early June, but came to light after a woman approached the Greater Kailash police station on Wednesday with her complaint.
A case of assault and using criminal force with an intent to outrage the modesty of a woman was registered against him.
The woman, a resident of Sangam Vihar, has claimed that she was on a visit to a Delhi Jal Board office in Greater Kailash when the MLA's men began to abuse her for persisting with the complaint of water scarcity.
Jarwal, a Delhi Jal Board member, who arrived there soon after, also began abusing her, she alleged. The MLA also allegedly pushed her by her chest, the complaint added.
Jarwal, however, denied the allegation, though he admitted that the woman had visited DJB office.
