A. K. Dhasmana appointed as new R&AW chief

New Delhi, Dec 18 (IBNS): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of A. K. Dhasmana, IPS , Special Secretary, Research& Analysis Wing (R&AW)as Secretary, R&AW for a period of two years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by granting extension in service under provisions of FR 56, officials said on Sunday.

The Appointments Committee also approved the appointment of  Rajiv Jain, IPS, Special Director, Intelligence Bureau as Director, Intelligence Bureau for a period of two years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by granting extension in service under provisions of FR 56, read a government statement.
