67 militants of DNLA lay down arms in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district
Guwahati/IBNS: A total of 67 militants of Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) on Thursday laid down their arms during an arms laying ceremonial function in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district.
The militants laid their arms during the programme held at Dhansiri area in Karbi Anglong district in presence of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang, Hiren Nath, ADGP (Special Branch) of Assam police and other senior police officials.
The DNLA militants deposited 9 pistols with magazines, two AK series rifles, guns and a large amount of ammunition.

Earlier on Nov 13, 47 cadres of the militant outfit including its C-in-C Mushrang had laid down their arms during an arms laying ceremony held at Khepre area, 95-km from Dima Hasao district headquarter Haflong.
The DNLA had announced unconditional ceasefire for six months and on Sept 24 this year the chairman of the outfit came forward to take part in the peace process.
