New Delhi, Oct 11 (IBNS): In a brutal incident, a 4-year-old girl was raped by her neighbour at a railway colony near Lawrence Road in northwest Delhi on Friday night, media reports said.
She was discovered by a passerby on an open plot close to her house with gashes on her body.

The child was rushed to a local hospital, where doctors confirmed that she was raped.

"Police said the gashes on her body were probably made by a razor, which was found in a nearby bush. They also said that the accused must have been familiar to the child and had lured her to the plot and then brutalised her," The Times of India reports.

A case under sections of POCSO, and under IPC sections 376 (rape) and 307 (attempt to murder) of the has been registered.
