24 students washed away in Himachal
The incident occurred at around 6:30 pm.
The students belonged to an engineering college in Hyderabad city.
"In all, 38 students from VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology were on the riverbanks, clicking photographs of their summer sojourn, when the water level rose after discharge from the Larji hydel power project around 2km away," Hindustan Times reported.
Rescue operation is currently going on to find out the missing students.
