Indians are known for celebrating weddings in grand and unique ways, and a viral video is now showcasing one such extraordinary celebration. A Marwari family reportedly booked an entire train coach, turning it into a “moving baraat” for their wedding festivities.

The video captures a family member garlanding the coach’s nameplate and placing a welcome poster for guests, setting the tone for the journey. Inside, the coach transforms into a lively celebration, with children and elders alike dancing to energetic music and singing together, creating a festive atmosphere on wheels.

Shared on X by user Ananth Rupanagudi on April 4, the clip has garnered over 3 lakh views so far, drawing widespread attention online.

The post was captioned: “When a Marwari wedding party books a railway coach!”

The video has sparked mixed reactions from social media users. While many appreciated the vibrant celebration, others raised concerns about convenience and public etiquette.

One user noted that such practices were once common: “This used to be quite normal in the 90s. Wedding parties would approach the station master months in advance to book an entire coach. In some cases, railways even added extra bogies to accommodate demand without affecting regular passengers.”

Another commented humorously: “This isn’t just a coach anymore — it’s a moving dharamshala! Love the energy.”

Some users highlighted the joy of shared travel, with one writing: “It must be great fun for extended families to travel together like this for a wedding.”

However, not all responses were positive. A user shared a less pleasant experience: “It’s fine when an entire coach is booked. But when large groups occupy multiple berths in a regular coach, it can be very disruptive for other passengers. I’ve experienced it myself — sleep and privacy go out the window.”

Another user criticised the behaviour more sharply, calling it a lack of civic sense.
