Mamata Banerjee to inaugurate 46th International Kolkata Book Fair today

Kolkata/IBNS: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will on Monday inaugurate the 46th edition of International Kolkata Book Fair at Boi Mela Prangan in Kolkata.

The inauguration ceremony will begin at 1:30 pm.

Banerjee will inaugurate the book fair in presence of Maria Jose Galvez Salvador, Director-General of Books and Promotion of Reading, Spanish Ministry of Culture & Sports, Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, eminent author of West Bengal along with other eminent authors, dignitaries and state ministers.

The focus country for the International Kolkata Book Fair 2023 is Spain.

There will be around 700 stalls and 200 Little Magazines.

There will be nine entry and exit gates in the IKBF 2023 for the easy movement of the visitors.

One of the gates will be the replica of Toledo Gate of Spain. Among the other gates, there will be Biswa Bangla Gate and Najrul's Agnibina Gate.

Around 20 countries across the globe will participate at the International Kolkata Book Fair 2023.

Thailand will be participating for the first time this year.
