Jammu and Kashmir hosts two-day workshop on 'Capacity Building for Managers in Higher Education'

A two-day National Workshop on "Capacity Building for Managers in Higher Education" was held in Jammu and Kashmir from Friday.

Department of Higher Education, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, in collaboration with the Government College of Education (IASE) Srinagar hosted the workshop, reports ANI.

Among the notable personalities present were Darakshan Andrabi, Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board (Ministry of State), who highlighted the strides taken towards women's welfare and development under the governance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the region, the news agency reported.

"In the governance of the Bharatiya Janata Party, every step has been taken for the welfare and development of women in our country, especially in Jammu and Kashmir," Andrabi said.

The workshop primarily catered to Principals from various colleges in the Kashmir Division.

Addressing the gathering, Pam Rajput was quoted as saying by ANI, "Capacity building for women in managerial roles is not only essential for their individual growth but also for the holistic development of the education sector."
