New Delhi, Aug 11 (IBNS): As it is time again to witness the most vibrant meteor showers rule the sky, popular search engine Google on Monday dedicated its home page to celebrate Perseid Meteor Shower.

The doodle portrays a medley of meteorite showers, which is in the form of an animated celestial journey.

The Perseid Meteor Shower occurs every year in the month of August,  which began on Saturday and is expected to finish on Wednesday.

The doodle begins by giving a tranquil view of a night sky full of meteors and a shooting star.

On clicking on the doodle, the viewer can view a space where the night sky shines bright and meteors run all across the sky.

The doodle is complemented with soft background music which is provided along with the different hues of the sky presented in each slide.

From Charlie Chaplin to Marie Curie, Google doodles not only celebrate birth anniversaries of great personalities, they also make users know about important dates through designs and animations.
