West Bengal's COVID-19 cases near 23000-mark, death toll at 779

Kolkata/IBNS: West Bengal on Monday recorded 681 fresh coronavirus infections taking the state's total tally to 22,987.

22 deaths were reported during this period taking the new fatality toll to 779.

As per the health bulletin, 524 COVID-19 patients were discharged in the past 24 hours, 15,235 persons have been cured of the contagion so far, taking the recovery rate in the state to 66.27 per cent.

The bulletin stated that West Bengal had tested 5,52,007 samples till date with 10,919 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

Currently, 5,605 patients are kept in government quarantine centres and 41,520 people are under home surveillance in the state.
